Lapiz Lazuli is one of the oldest and most prized gemstones (5000 BC). It was used by the Egyptians for jewelry, ornaments(scarabs) and amulets. It was used for covering the walls and columns of palaces and places of worship. The Egyptian Book of the Dead describes a piece of lapiz lazuli in the shape of an eye set in gold. It was considered a powerful amulet, a symbolic eye of the supreme being.
Lapiz is used with problems concerning insomnia and dizziness, probably due to its sympathetic connection to the eyes, ears, nose and sinuses. Clear quartz crystal is probably the most important stone there is for all healing, both physically and emotionally. It amplifies, directs, focuses, transmits and is capable of storing energy.
It is stimulating to brain function and elevates consciousness.
As an aid to meditation it is said to have no equal as it is capable of allowing one to reach a deeper level by increasing the ability to focus.
Therein lies the power of the crystal, focus. Whether used for spiritual focus or physical endeavors, such as healing, it increases the function of the other tools being used.
Crystals do vibrate and can be electrically charged (note their use in computer chips and watches) and those vibrations effect those who wear or carry them and provide an enhanced effectiveness during Chakra work.
Natural Quartz crystal points have an enhanced ability to focus energy, bring spiritual enlightenment, spirit communication and increase healing potential. Anyone who is dealing with illness or working on Chakra balancing and clearing, or

Goldstone is a type of glass made with copper or copper salts in the presence of a reducing flame. Under normal oxidative conditions, copper ions meld into the silica to produce transparent bluish-green glass; when the reduced goldstone melt cools, the copper remains in atomic isolation and precipitates into small crystalline clusters. The finished product can take a smooth polish and be carved into beads, figurines, or other artifacts suitable for semiprecious stone, and in fact goldstone is often mistaken or misrepresented as a natural material.
The most common form of goldstone gives the illusion of being reddish-brown, although in fact that color comes from the copper crystals and the glass itself is colorless. Some goldstone variants have an intensely-colored glass matrix-- usually blue or violet, more rarely green-- and a more silvery appearance to the suspended crystals, whose color may be partially masked by the glass or which may be based on different metals than copper (perhaps cobalt, manganese, or chromium).
The manufacturing process for goldstone was discovered in seventeenth-century Venice by the Miotti family, which was granted an exclusive license by the Doge. Persistent folklore attributes the discovery and secret of goldstone to an unnamed Italian monastic order, giving rise to the alternate name "monk's gold" or "monkstone". Another name, "stellaria", is based on the starry internal reflections.
Curiously, goldstone is one of the few cases where a synthetic simulant provided the eponymy for the similar natural stone. The original Italian name for goldstone is "avventurina" or some similar word or phrase indicating its accidental discovery, hence the mineral name "aventurine" for forms of feldspar or quartz with mica inclusions that give a similar glittering appearance. Yet another name for goldstone is "aventurine glass", but this should be discouraged to avoid confusion with the minerals.
The method for making goldstone is a trade secret, handed down through generations. Because of its scarcity and beauty, it is always in high demand.
